Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a senior HVAC/Mechanical Service Technician III to maintain and troubleshoot large-scale building systems at a judicial facility. You will lead advanced maintenance, collaborate on BAS operations, and support electronic PM documentation.

This on-site role emphasizes hands-on expertise, safety, and mentoring of technicians, with a focus on reliability and energy-efficient operation of AHUs, DOAS, FCUs, and pumps.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial or institutional HVAC maintenance.
• Familiarity with BAS/BMS platforms; Metasys preferred.
• Proficient with CMMS for work orders and PMs.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and sequences of operation.
• Strong written and spoken English for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot BAS through Metasys; investigate alarms and setpoints.
• Support CMMS PMs, documentation, and PM checklist implementation.
• Lead maintenance quality assurance and coordinate with contractors.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to technicians.
