Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems on customer sites. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through direct on-site interaction and technical excellence.

You will mentor junior technicians, develop field proposals for upgrades, and coordinate with sales and project teams to deliver efficient solutions while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and related subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems.
• Mentor and coach control technicians and service technicians on building automation activities.
• Prepare field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Coordinate with sales, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure timely, quality execution.
• Document service activities and ensure customer satisfaction on site.
