Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems across customer sites.

You will mentor technicians, ensure high customer satisfaction, and document service activities. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex control system issues, proposing retrofits, and coordinating with managers and subcontractors to execute projects while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Two years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems or a technical-degree background.
• Ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions requiring knowledge of electronic or digital controls.
• Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements; assist sales with technical recommendations.
• Manage assigned work to ensure timely, high-quality execution and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections.
• Train customers in control systems operations and deliver manuals and documentation.
