Job summary

Securitas Technology is seeking a skilled Security Technician to support post-installation issues, perform on-site upgrades, and contribute to project work. You will handle trouble tickets, diagnose problems, and document changes to maintain uptime.

The role requires low-voltage experience, CT licenses, and strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, burglar alarms and fire systems. On-site work with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have E2 Connecticut Unlimited Journeyman License or C-5/C-6 license.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary and fire alarm systems.
• NICET or State Fire License preferred; ESA/NTS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to trouble tickets to ensure system uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues individually or in a team.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize availability.
• Make routine configuration changes (user permissions, system settings).
• Document modifications using digital change control tools.
• Create technical docs describing deployments for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Test upgrades and major modifications before deployment.
• Perform on-site installations of software upgrades and changes.
