Job summary

DRS IT Solutions Inc. is seeking a School Support Field Technician for an on-site Atlanta role. The technician will support chromebooks, iPads, macOS and Windows devices, network/Wi-Fi tuning, and AV equipment across schools and districts.

You will work under the IT Manager and Lead Field Technician to ensure reliable technology service. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on IT field support, holds an A+ certification, and demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, and customer

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience minimum.
• A+ Certification REQUIRED.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Prior desk-side and break/fix support is a MUST.
• Prior mobile device support experience: Chromebooks, iPads, macOS, and iOS is a MUST.
• Proficient in understanding network infrastructure and wireless support.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (Incident IQ) preferred.
• Experience in an educational environment is a plus.
• Must pass a fingerprint background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional customer service posture at ALL TIMES.
• Build and maintain relationships with school leadership and staff.
• Arrive at the school 30 minutes before first bell.
• Monitor and troubleshoot assigned tickets; escalate to Level 3 as needed.
• Assist with deployment of new equipment and on-site vendors.
• Collaborate with other field technicians within the cluster.
• Maintain asset records in Incident IQ and update checklists.
