Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks a Technology Support Tech III to provide on-site IT customer service and support in instructional environments. The role requires strong troubleshooting, ticketing, and collaboration with district technology staff to ensure reliable classroom technology and AV systems.

The incumbent will work with school personnel, maintain equipment, and support deployment of technology initiatives in line with district policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting, supporting, and administering within a LAN/WAN environment including Microsoft Windows and PC/laptop/server hardware required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to a single or multiple schools daily, addressing break/fix technology issues.
• Offer level 1 on-site setup, configuration, repair, and support for hardware, software, networking, AV, and peripheral devices.
• Respond to incident reports quickly and professionally.
• Isolate LAN/WAN connectivity issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain technology inventory and document issues via the district ticketing system.
• Assist in training staff and collaborating on local technology initiatives.
• Participate in district technology committees and pilot projects.
