Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to support the Project Team in developing and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations and aids in building a strong Project Safety Roadmap.

Reports to the Project Safety Manager or Area Safety Manager. The position involves daily field walks, coaching, orientations, training, investigations, and proactive safety improvements on electrical construction sites in Arlington, OR and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 Construction required.
• CPR/FA Certified (Trainer Preferred).
• STS and STSC certification preferred, along with other safety certifications.
• 0-2 years of construction safety experience, electrical safety preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States; not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of safety programs through field walks and log observations.
• Support project-specific corrective action plans for safety issues.
• Provide feedback to safety leadership on improvement opportunities.
• Coach employees on safe behaviors and recognize safe practices.
• Assist with site-specific safety orientations for new hires.
• Assist with basic safety training (HazCom, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tag-out).
• Support incident investigations and injury/illness case facilitation.
• Raise potential compliance risks to Safety leadership.
• Attend assigned safety meetings daily and evaluate participation/effectiveness.
