Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to support project teams in building an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC). This on-site role emphasizes compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and requires collaboration to maintain a strong Project Safety Roadmap.

You will report to the Project Safety Manager or Area Safety Manager. Responsibilities include coaching, safety orientations, tool inspections, incident investigations, and leading weekly toolbox talks

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of construction safety experience (electrical safety preferred).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and incident investigations.
• Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and teams.
• Strong organization and communication skills; bilingual preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support safety planning with foremen and field teams.
• Evaluate safety program effectiveness via daily field walks and observations.
• Develop project-specific corrective action plans with leadership.
• Provide coaching for safe behaviors and recognize safe acts.
• Deliver site safety orientations for new hires when applicable.
• Assist with basic safety training and testing (HazCom, Fall Protection, LOTO).
• Support incident investigations and coordinate injury/illness management.
• Perform periodic tool and equipment safety evaluations.
• Monitor CEI/subcontractor safety compliance and raise risks to leadership.
• Lead weekly toolbox talks and ensure daily safety meetings occur.
• Evaluate meeting quality, participation, and program elements.
