Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in North Texas seeks an experienced Safety Representative to support the Safety Director by reviewing job-site safety, overseeing safety systems, and delivering training to office and field personnel.

You will gather hazard information, propose controls, conduct trainings, document records, and participate in incident investigations to maintain an accident-free work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health or related field preferred.
• CHST, CSHO or ASP, CSP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather information to identify exposures and hazards on projects.
• Devise methods to eliminate or control hazard exposures.
• Develop and conduct safety training for employees and new hires.
• Create safety-training programs including recertification and orientation sessions.
• Attend project site safety meetings weekly and conduct site walkthroughs.
• Conduct incident investigations and generate timely reports.
