Job summary

Continental Energy Solutions seeks a Safety & Environmental Engineer to lead on-site safety for renewable energy construction, including solar and battery storage projects. You will implement safety programs, conduct field oversight, and manage environmental compliance across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction safety, strong OSHA/NEC knowledge, and experience with EHS systems. Travel up to 40% is expected, with opportunities for professional growth and certifications.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering or safety discipline.
• At least 5 years in construction safety with electrical safety program leadership.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NEC, EPA and NFPA regulations.
• Experience with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to communicate with field personnel and leadership effectively.
• Familiarity with EHS systems (Enablon/Cority/Intelex) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site safety leadership and oversight for solar and BESS installations.
• Oversee subcontractor safety onboarding, plans, and compliance.
• Ensure environmental programs (SWPPP, SPCC, waste management) are followed.
• Lead safety trainings, toolbox talks, and orientation.
• Support incident management, investigations, and continuous improvement.
