Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Community Relations Manager in San Jose to lead a team delivering exceptional resident experiences. You will oversee communications, move-in/out processes, and property operations with a focus on customer service and professionalism.

You will manage resident inquiries via CRM, coordinate events, and drive satisfaction across the portfolio while ensuring compliance with company policies and laws. This role requires on-site work five days a week in a central hub.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of property management experience with 1-2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service commitment and people skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and read/write/speak English.
• Experience supervising two or more associates is preferred.
• On-site, five days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support a team responsible for resident communications and inquiries through the CRM system.
• Ensure smooth move-in and move-out processes, including paperwork and ID checks.
• Coach the team to address resident concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor portfolio tasks and calls to ensure timely responses and alignment with standards.
• Maintain understanding of the portfolio and provide guidance on property-specific features.
