Job summary

Axiom Technologies in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for a Dispatch/Part-Time Independent Contractor role. You will provide on-site and remote support for end users, coordinate service requests, and ensure timely resolution of IT issues while aligning with client policies.

You will be the go-to technical resource for desktop support, troubleshooting Windows desktops, hardware, and peripherals, and you will collaborate with field technicians and internal teams to maintain

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in on-site support environments.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks
