Job summary

Robinson Construction is seeking an On-Site Quality Control Inspector - CWI to oversee QC activities on self-performed and subcontracted construction work for heavy industrial projects in the United States. You will inspect weld quality, ensure conformance to specifications, and support project teams to maintain quality standards.

Key responsibilities include coordinating 3rd party inspections, maintaining quality records, and ensuring compliance with codes (D1.1, ASME B31.3) and project plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of construction QC/QA experience.
• Working knowledge of ACI, ICC, AWS, and ASME codes.
• CWI and/or ICC S2; S1 preferred.
• Understanding of structural welding and weld inspection.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-perform work including concrete forming, placing, finishing, steel erection and welding.
• Monitor subcontracted work such as rebar, masonry, steel studs, drywall and roofing for codes.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and city/county/state permits as required.
• Maintain quality records and assist in turnover documentation.
• Attend weekly QC meetings with Corporate Office and communicate QA issues to leadership.
