Job summary

Robinson Construction is seeking an On-Site Quality Control Inspector with CWI credentials to oversee QC activities on heavy industrial projects. The role includes inspecting welds to AWS/ASME standards, and coordinating with PMs to ensure conformance to plans and specs.

Responsibilities span managing self-perform and subcontracted work, conducting audits, and maintaining quality records. Travel may be required; E-Verify and equal opportunity policies apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years related construction QC/QA inspection experience.
• Working knowledge of codes (ACI, ICC, AWS and ASME).
• CWI and/or ICC S2 (Structural Welding) Special Inspector preferred.
• ICC S1 (Structural Steel & Bolting) Special Inspector preferred.
• Piping VT Inspector (Level II VT Inspector) preferred; understanding of pipe welding to ASME codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-perform work including concrete forming, placing, and finishing; structural steel erection and welding; pipe installation.
• Monitor subcontracted work (rebar, masonry, drywall, electrical, roofing) for code compliance.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and city/state permit inspections.
• Maintain quality records and prepare turnover documentation.
• Attend weekly QC meetings with Corporate Office; report concerns to QC Manager.
