Job summary

Robinson Construction is seeking an On-Site Quality Control Inspector - CWI to oversee QC activities for self-performed and subcontracted work on a heavy industrial project. The role includes inspecting weld quality per codes, coordinating 3rd party inspections, and maintaining quality records.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of construction QC/QA experience, knowledge of ACI/ICC/AWS/ASME codes, and a CWI certification; ICC S2 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of QC/QA construction experience on similar projects.
• Experience with codes: ACI, ICC, AWS, ASME.
• CWI and/or ICC S2 preferred; familiarity with structural welding and bolting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Welder performance Qualification Tests for new applicants or excise certification on underperforming welders.
• Inspect welds for conformity to codes (D1.1, ASME B31.3) and maintain inspection records.
• Supervise nondestructive examinations and coordinate 3rd party inspectors.
