Job summary

Robinson Construction is seeking an On-Site Quality Control Inspector - CWI to oversee QC activities on heavy industrial projects. The role includes inspecting weld quality, aligneing with AWS/ASME codes, coordinating 3rd party inspections, and maintaining quality records on construction sites nationwide.

Ideal candidates will have at least five years of QC/QA experience, knowledge of ACI/ICC/AWS/ASME codes, and preferred CWI/ICC S2 or S1 certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years related construction experience (QC/QA Inspector) on projects of similar magnitude, scope, and complexity.
• Working knowledge of codes (ACI, ICC, AWS and ASME); determine acceptability/rejectability of work.
• CWI and/or ICC S2/S1 preferred; understands structural welding and inspection per AWS/AISC; ICS structural bolting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-perform work including concrete forming, placing, finishing, steel erection and welding.
• Monitor subcontracted work and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate 3rd party inspections and permit inspections.
• Maintain quality records and assist in turnover documents.
• Attend weekly QC meetings and support project managers and superintendents.
