Job summary

Robinson Construction is seeking an On-Site Quality Control Inspector - CWI to oversee QC activities on heavy industrial projects. You will evaluate self-performed work and monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with plans, specs and codes.

The role requires a strong knowledge of welding inspection, NDE as applicable, and the ability to coordinate with project teams, inspectors, and clients to maintain quality records and turnover documentation.

Qualifications

• Five years of QC/QA construction experience in similar projects.
• Working knowledge of ACI, ICC, AWS and ASME codes and acceptance criteria.
• CWI and/or ICC S2 preferred; understanding of structural welding inspection.
• Familiarity with NDE practices and weld mapping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-perform work including concrete, steel erection, welding, piping and equipment setting.
• Monitor subcontracted work for compliance with plans, specs and codes.
• Coordinate 3rd party inspections and city/state permit inspections.
• Maintain quality records and assist turnover documentation.
• Communicate with QA officers and project teams to resolve issues.
