Job summary

Robinson Construction is seeking an On-Site Quality Control Inspector - CWI to oversee site QC activities for self-performed work and monitor subcontracted work for a heavy industrial project. The role includes inspecting weld quality, workmanship, and conformance to specifications across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Must have five years of related construction QC/QA experience on similar projects.
• Knowledge of codes such as AWS, ACI, ICC, ASME, and related standards.
• CWI and/or ICC S2 preferred; understands structural welding and inspection per AWS/AISC.
• Knowledge of NDE and weld mapping; understands pipe welding to ASME Codes including B31.1 and B31.3.

Responsibilities

• Oversee self-performed concrete forming, placing, finishing, structural steel erection, welding, piping, and equipment setting per O&M manuals and codes.
• Monitor subcontracted work for compliance with codes and project specs; coordinate inspections.
• Audit quality records, communicate findings with QC Manager and project team; develop corrective actions.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and city/county/state permit inspections; maintain records.
