Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Quality Manager to join its Field Operations Team for field/project work. This role requires hands-on leadership of the quality control program, jobsite inspections, and collaboration with the project team to ensure compliance with contract documents.

The position emphasizes training, data collection for improvement, and maintaining the Project Specific Quality Control Plan.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 5+ years of construction experience OR 7+ years in related construction with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in light/heavy industrial sector.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of the quality control program.
• Attend pre-construction meetings to discuss the QMS with subs and manufacturers.
• Train team members on the quality control program.
• Set up projects in the quality program database and support maintenance; assist in audits.
• Monitor the quality program to ensure regular, timely quality across the organization.
• Collect data from the QC program for marketing, training, and best practices.
• Conduct jobsite inspections/audits and report findings to the Project Team and Leadership.
• Perform QC inspections of installations to ensure contract compliance and coordination with documents.
• Collaborate with Service Team Manager to incorporate checklist items into QMS system.
• Inspect products, materials, and equipment upon arrival for contract compliance.
• Ensure qualifications of manufacturers, fabricators, and installers are current per contract.
• Coordinate sampling of work with testing timelines to prevent delays.
• Maintain jobsite test/inspection plans and logs; document changes to work or design criteria.
• Create and maintain an approved Project Specific Quality Control Plan.
