Job summary

Bracken Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform on-site daily and ongoing quality control inspections and documentation.

The role reports to the Site Quality Control Manager and requires adherence to AISC/AWS standards. The ideal candidate is a certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with at least two years in construction or welding, capable of reading structural steel drawings, and able to communicate findings clearly to project teams.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting structural steel drawings.
• Minimum of two years of construction or welding experience.
• High school education or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site daily quality control inspections and document results.
• Inspect structural steel for plumb, level, and elevation per AISC codes and standards.
• Inspect welding and handling of welding materials for compliance with drawings and standards.
• Inspect bolted structural connections and ensure proper fastening and conformity.
• Assist in inspecting materials received on the job site and all phases of steel erection.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain quality control records.
• Ensure compliance with AISC and AWS standards with subcontractors.
