Job summary

TEAM Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking a certified welding inspector (CWI) to perform quality control and code-compliance inspections on welded components in field and shop environments.

The candidate will verify weld quality through inspection and coordinate with NDT personnel to support testing, ensuring compliance with codes and client QA/QC programs. The role requires reviewing WPS, PQR, and WQTR, generating inspection reports and weld maps, and interfacing with client personnel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• TWIC, DISA or other site access credentials required.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1, ASME IX, B31.3, API 1104 and related codes.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual welding inspections per AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API codes, or project criteria.
• Review WPS, PQR, and WQTR documentation.
• Monitor welding activities to ensure adherence to procedures and standards.
• Coordinate with NDT personnel for UT/RT/MT/PT/testing.
• Generate detailed inspection reports, weld maps, and deficiency logs.
• Witness welder qualification tests and maintain continuity logs.
• Interface with client QA/QC, fabricators, and engineers to resolve issues.
• Adhere to Life Critical Expectations and safety protocols.
• Uphold TEAM’s standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality.
