Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a Safety Specialist - Energy to support the Project Team in building and sustaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC).

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, while aiding leadership to develop a robust Project Safety Roadmap. The position reports to the Project Safety Manager or Area Safety Manager and is based on-site in Henderson, TX.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensure/Certifications: OSHA 30 Construction; CPR/FA; STS and STSC preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years construction safety; electrical safety preferred.
• Driving: Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating safety programs through daily field walks and log observations.
• Support project-specific corrective action plans to address safety issues.
• Provide feedback to Safety leadership on areas for improvement and recognition.
• Assist with job site-specific safety orientations for new employees.
• Assist with basic safety training (HazCom, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tag-out, etc.).
• Support incident investigations and contribute to injury/illness case facilitation.
