Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking a Project Engineer for Lebanon, IN to support heavy industrial projects on-site. The role is development-focused with a defined pathway toward Project Manager and requires coordinating with owners, engineers, and field teams to plan work and resolve issues.

The incumbent will review designs, manage RFI/doc control, monitor progress, and assist the PM team to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery on project assignments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management with 4+ years of multidisciplinary construction experience
• Experience with scheduling and project controls (cost tracking, RFIs, take-offs/quantities) is key
• NCCER Certifications and OSHA 10/30 are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate estimates, scopes of work, and contracts with owners, engineers, and estimators.
• Review drawings and 3D BIM models for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with the design team.
• Provide field oversight to ensure installations meet contract documents, quality, schedule, and budgets.
• Coordinate construction activities with Owners, Engineers, or OEMs.
• Organize RFI process and document control to avoid delays.
• Monitor productivity and verify earned value for progress payments and claims.
• Distribute drawings and maintain logs with Document Control.
• Assist Change Order Management and update project schedules.
• Serve as front-line technical liaison to Owners and Engineers.
• Support training of incoming Project Engineers, Field Engineers, and Trainees
