Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking a Field Engineer to support multi-site projects across GA, AL, IN, SC and NC. The role is full-time, on-site, interacting with owners, engineers, and field teams to plan work and resolve field issues.

It is designed as a development path toward becoming a Project Manager. Qualified candidates have a technical degree with construction experience or equivalent, OSHA certifications preferred, and comfort coordinating with multiple stakeholders on fast-moving industrial projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management with 2+ years of multidisciplinary construction experience OR 5+ years in industrial construction environments.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred but not required.
• NCCER certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with owners, engineers, and estimators to review project estimates, scopes of work, and contracts.
• Provide field oversight to ensure installations meet contract documents, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate construction activities with Owners, Engineers, or OEMs and other site teams.
• Monitor productivity and verify earned value for progress payments and contractor claims.
• Identify changes and manage Change Order processes.
• Update project schedules and generate status reports.
• Serve as front-line technical liaison for Owners and Engineers and provide technical analysis to supervision.
