Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative - Sales to join our on-site Storeroom team. You will handle procurement activities, create and track purchase orders, and assist with reconciliation of invoices while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

The role is on-site at a customer location, with hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and is temporary-to-hire. Experience in procurement and computer systems is required, SAP/IBM SAP experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; 1+ years procurement experience preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.
• Proficiency with MS-Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet current and anticipated demand for stock or spot buys.
• Review and approve inventory forecasts from ERP applications.
• Review and approve daily replenishment recommendations.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders for optimal delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Coordinate vendor returns for aging or excess inventory; follow up on PO status with vendors.
