Job summary

Pike Engineering in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Power Engineering Technologist to provide advanced technical support for evaluating design options on power distribution projects. The role requires applying intermediate to advanced knowledge to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes on-site work with field assessments, design development, and collaboration with clients, construction teams, and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Requires regular attendance and ability to perform field activities.
• Experience in utility power distribution engineering or related craft work preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business use.

Responsibilities

• Develop moderately complex overhead and underground distribution designs by interpreting codes and client requirements.
• Prepare project packages including material lists, requisitions and construction drawings; update systems and work requests.
• Collaborate with construction teams, clients, and customers to address design issues and resolve power quality challenges.
• Conduct field assessments to validate system conditions and customer needs and build relationships with partners.
• Support training and development of team members and participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
