Job summary

Recology is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process payroll for multiple operating companies on-site in Sparks, Nevada. You will manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll across states, ensure timekeeping data accuracy, and coordinate with external vendors for timely processing.

Responsibilities include payroll analyses, handling garnishments, PTO accruals, and tax filings while maintaining compliant recordkeeping and timely inquiries from payroll coordinators and Corporate staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of payroll experience including query reporting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• FPC or CPP certification desired.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations and California Wage/Hour rules.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and biweekly multi-state payroll including garnishments, deductions and taxes.
• Review hours for accuracy before importing to HRIS.
• Submit payroll files weekly to vendor for processing.
• Prepare payroll analyses for management.
• Research payroll discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Handle tax reporting, W-2s, and withholdings.
