Job summary

frēijē Engineered Solutions Company in Indiana seeks a Payroll Operations Specialist to manage weekly payroll across multiple states, validate timekeeping, and handle special pay calculations. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including prevailing wage, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and our external payroll provider to support payroll accuracy and reporting.

This role focuses on maintaining Paycor workflows and payroll-related benefit deductions, ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/associate degree preferred in accounting/finance/business.
• CPP certification preferred.
• 5+ years payroll administration experience.
• Experience with Paycor or similar HRIS.
• Multi-state payroll tax and compliance experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots and lookups.
• Prevailing wage experience preferred.
• Experience in construction or field-based workforce environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly payroll processing and timekeeping validation.
• Calculate special pay and maintain payroll controls.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, managers, and payroll provider.
• Administer payroll-related benefit and 401(k) deductions and reports.

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification

5+ years of payroll administration experience

Experience with Paycor or similar payroll/HRIS platform

Payroll tax compliance experience

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookups, reporting)

Prevailing wage experience
