Addison Group in Montebello, CA is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to support payroll processing and compliance for a growing organization. This temp-to-hire role requires at least 3 years of payroll experience and a keen eye for detail.

The position handles weekly payroll, maintains payroll records, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with HR and accounting. On-site work schedule is M-F, 9-5, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of California wage and hour laws and payroll tax requirements.
• Experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage, or union payroll preferred.
• Familiarity with Paylocity or similar payroll and timekeeping systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Process weekly payroll, including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including timekeeping, paid time off, leave balances, and employee information.
• Verify employee hours and ensure payroll calculations are accurate and submitted within established deadlines.
• Support compliance with federal and California wage and hour laws, tax requirements, and applicable payroll regulations.
• Assist with certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage requirements, and union payroll processing as needed.
• Review payroll documentation and assist with reporting, audits, tax filings, and year-end activities, including W-2 processing.
• Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, timekeeping, and payroll discrepancies.
• Process garnishments, child support orders, and other required payroll deductions in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Maintain organized payroll documentation and ensure records are retained in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with HR, accounting, and other internal teams to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
• Provide backup support for payroll and compliance functions as needed.
