Job summary

Jobot Consulting is seeking a Payroll Specialist for our on-site location in South Fresno. This temporary-to-hire role supports full-time hours, Monday through Friday, and offers potential overtime.

You will manage all payroll aspects for a diverse client base, ensuring accurate updates for hires, terminations, and pay-rate changes. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll regulations, and proficiency with Paychex.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience required.
• Proficient with Paychex and other payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Experience with garnishments and payroll taxes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of payroll processing for employees (union and non-union).
• Ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Prepare and maintain payroll transaction records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and best practices.
• Facilitate audits by providing records to auditors.
• Identify updates to payroll software and procedures.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reconciliations.
• Coordinate with HR and accounting for reporting and compliance.
• Handle payroll taxes, garnishments, and related activities.
• Participate in special projects as required.
