Job summary

PathGroup seeks a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office. You will handle specimen collection, processing, and data entry while interacting professionally with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (may be required based on state guidelines).
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; required in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats customers courteously.
• Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens per procedure and explains venipuncture clearly to patients, maintaining a calm environment.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and enters patient, specimen, and billing information with high accuracy.
• Matches requisition forms to specimens, labels, centrifuges, and processes specimens per test order.
