Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking Patient Care Coordinators to support NIH clinical and research programs on-site at the NIH campuses in Bethesda, MD or Baltimore, MD. You will coordinate patient-facing activities and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience and efficient care delivery.

The role requires an Associate degree and at least one year in patient coordination or health-care administration, strong communication, discretion with sensitive information, and familiarity with EHR

Qualifications

• Associate degree required and one year of patient coordination or related healthcare support experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) or similar data systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient-related activities to support efficient and high-quality care delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, follow-ups, and care coordination activities.
• Support patient intake processes, documentation, and record maintenance.
• Help ensure patients receive timely information and support throughout their care journey.
• Track patient interactions and care coordination activities using established systems.
• Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.
