Job summary

JLL is seeking an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems at a Houston facility. The role requires on-site presence, a strong maintenance background, and the ability to manage routine tasks and safety standards.

Candidates should have 3+ years of related experience, essential licenses including boiler and electrician certifications, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• 2nd Grade City of Houston Boiler License.
• Universal CFC Certification.
• Texas Maintenance Electricians License.
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and lighting.
• Maintain CMMS work orders, perform preventive maintenance and respond to tenant service requests.
• Assist with safety training and on-call or emergency responses as needed.
• Support fire life safety maintenance and seasonal start-up/shutdown.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot building systems.
