Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based screening for newborns.

This on-site role includes on-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology to ensure early detection of hearing impairment and timely intervention. You will screen babies, educate parents, maintain accurate data, and coordinate follow-up appointments when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
• Prefer 1–3 months of newborns/medical setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens and collect all necessary data/demographics for each baby.
• Conduct the hearing screen and all related services for eligible babies each shift.
• Ensure documentation protocol is followed for every screen.
• Educate parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Upload screen results/billing/state reporting by end of each shift; reconcile stats.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and final refer babies and schedule follow-ups as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements in hospital settings.
