Job summary

Lansweeper NV in Austin, TX is seeking a hands-on Support Engineer to join our global team. This on-site-first role (3 days per week in the office) focuses on resolving complex IT issues across Windows, Linux, macOS, and cloud platforms while collaborating with a tight-knit group of SMEs.

You will reproduce problems in our in-house lab, document troubleshooting steps, and maintain clear case histories from first contact to resolution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support, sys admin, or related role with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Solid networking fundamentals across subnets, firewall rules, and discovery protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows; macOS is a plus.
• Ability to set up and configure VMs and lab environments (VMware or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Active Directory and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Basic familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce.
• Ability to read/write basic SQL queries or scripts.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Must be authorized to work in the US and based in or relocate to Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and troubleshoot technical support cases from customers worldwide, primarily via written communication.
• Reproduce and solve issues in our in-house lab across Windows, Linux, macOS, VMware, Active Directory, AWS, and Azure.
• Document troubleshooting steps and train of thought clearly for quality assurance and handover.
• Follow up on open cases and respect SLAs (coverage until 6 PM CT; potential on-call in future).
• Work within a buddy system for six months with review before customer handoff.
• Maintain technical documentation in Confluence, Jira, and Salesforce.
• As you grow: join customer calls for severity-one and enterprise cases; develop SME expertise.
