Job summary

Lansweeper in Austin, TX is seeking a Support Engineer to embed in a technically sharp, close-knit team. This on-site-first role focuses on fast, accurate case handling and deep product understanding across Windows, Linux, macOS, AD, VMware, AWS, and Azure.

You will document your steps for QA, collaborate with SMEs, and grow into SME-level domains, with a path toward leadership as the team expands to enterprise account support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support or related role with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Solid networking fundamentals including subnets, firewall rules, and discovery protocols.
• Hands-on Linux and Windows experience; macOS is a plus.
• Experience setting up and configuring VMs/lab environments (VMware or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Active Directory and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
• Basic familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce.
• Ability to read/write basic SQL queries.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• US work authorization and willingness to relocate to Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and troubleshoot support cases from customers worldwide via written communication.
• Reproduce and solve issues in in-house lab across Windows, Linux, macOS, VMware, AD, AWS, and Azure.
• Document troubleshooting steps clearly for QA and handover.
• Follow up on open cases and maintain SLAs (on-site until 6 PM CT; potential on-call).
• Work with buddy system for initial six months with review before customers.
• Maintain and improve documentation in Confluence, Jira, and Salesforce.
• Grow SME-level expertise in one or more domains and join customer calls for severe/enterprise cases.
