Job summary

Leidos is offering a Summer 2027 Internship as a Network Impact Assessment (NIA) Intern on the GSM-O II contract at Scott AFB, Illinois. You will work closely with analysts to evaluate how network changes affect missions and customers, gaining hands-on experience with a global defense network.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in cybersecurity, CS, IT, or network engineering, with a basic understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model, and a strong analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
• Foundational networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist senior analysts in evaluating Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) and their impact on missions.
• Learn to use network management and monitoring tools to assess mission impacts.
• Gain exposure to emergency network outages and produce high-accuracy assessments for leadership.
• Log and track impact findings in ServiceNow and other enterprise management systems.
