Job summary

Leidos, a premier defense and technology company, is offering a Summer 2027 Internship as a Network Impact Assessment Intern on the GSM-O II contract at Scott AFB, IL. You'll work closely with analysts to learn how to evaluate network topologies and predict mission impacts of outages.

You'll gain exposure to tools like ServiceNow, participate in logging findings, and develop analytical skills needed to support critical defense missions during a live, global network environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
• Foundational networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS) and the OSI model.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical mindset and teamwork.
• Willingness to work on-site at Scott AFB, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist senior analysts in evaluating ASIs for mission impact.
• Learn to use network management tools to assess and communicate impacts.
• Gain exposure to emergency outages and high-accuracy assessments for leadership.
• Log and track impact findings in ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
