Job summary

Leidos is offering a Summer 2027 Internship Program for an Network Impact Assessment (NIA) Intern at Scott AFB, IL. You will be embedded with analysts bridging network engineering and mission operations, learning to evaluate how scheduled maintenance or outages affect critical missions across the DISN.

You will work with tools, participate in ASI impact assessments, and document findings in enterprise systems, gaining firsthand experience in a fast-paced defense IT environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Network Engineering.
• Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and the OSI model.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem solving.
• Collaborative team player with good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist senior analysts in evaluating ASIs and their impact on missions.
• Learn to use network management and monitoring tools to assess mission impacts.
• Gain exposure to emergency network outages and high-accuracy assessments for leadership.
• Log and track impact findings in enterprise systems like ServiceNow.
