Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. You will perform DOT inspections, scheduled PMs and follow-up repairs on a variety of trucks in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, document work on RO forms, and maintain the service truck and tools. Applicants must have a HS diploma or GED, 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years in related field) and ideally ASE T8 certification within 18 months; DOT and safety compliance are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA compliance; valid DOT medical card or DOT physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, road test and document findings; upload RO details via TRAIT app.
