Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PM services, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems, conduct road tests, and maintain records using company tools.

The role requires a HS diploma or 5 years’ related experience, ASE T8 within 18 months, a valid CDL and DOT clearance, and strong safety adherence. Weekly pay and company perks are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA related pre-employment background screening and DOT physical as required.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver’s license and able to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PM inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on light to heavy trucks.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation after service.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory, as well as documentation in RO and TRAIT app.
