Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role supports Cox Fleet's nationwide on-site maintenance and service network.

The Technician II will work under supervision of a Senior Technician, advancing diagnostic capabilities and ensuring adherence to company policies and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Licensed DOT inspections experience.
• Experience with preventative maintenance inspections on trucks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair truck systems (electrical, braking, steering, engine).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Conduct follow-up repairs and basic mechanical tasks.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to identify malfunctions with handheld testers and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation and safety.
