Job summary

Yates Construction seeks an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Quality Assistant Project Manager to join our on-site team at Fort Hood, TX on a full-time federal project. The role focuses on QC for MEP systems, reporting to the QC Manager, and ensuring compliance with contract, design, and federal standards.

The ideal candidate has a Texas PE license and 2 years in mechanical or electrical QC, or 5 years of field supervision in MEP.

Qualifications

Graduate Mechanical Engineer with Texas PE and 2 years of experience.
Graduate Electrical Engineer with Texas PE and 2 years of related experience.
5 years of field supervision experience in mechanical/electrical features (alternative)

Responsibilities

Serve as the designated QC Specialist for MEP construction activities per the project QC Plan.
On-site daily inspections and support the QC Manager.
Perform the Three Phases of Control for all MEP definable features of work: Preparatory, Initial, Follow-Up inspections.
Review MEP plans, specs and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
Document inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions for continuous quality oversight.
Participate in QC meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders.
Ensure each MEP feature meets government acceptance criteria.
Assist with training events, QC documentation, and Critical System Acceptance inspections by Government.
Function as an extension of the QC Manager to maintain quality across all MEP scopes.
