Job summary

Yates Construction in Fort Hood, TX is seeking a Quality Manager to lead all quality-related functions on a large-scale federal construction program, ensuring compliance with federal contracts, codes, and internal standards.

The role requires developing and administering project-specific QCPs, training teams, coordinating with federal agencies and subcontractors, and chairing ongoing QC activities and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of quality control supervision on construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial, commercial, or federal construction experience.
• Experience implementing large, complex quality plans—preferably on federal or government projects.
• Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification (required).

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to develop processes ensuring 100% compliant work meeting federal expectations.
• Lead quality operations and ensure compliance with federal standards and contract requirements.
• Develop and administer project-specific quality policies and QCPs.
• Read and interpret federal specifications, codes, and drawings.
• Provide training to project teams on quality risks and improvements.
• Chair weekly QC meetings and manage the NCR log.
• Oversee QC/QA reporting and safety compliance.
