Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Quality Control Specialist to support a federal government construction project at Fort Hood, TX. This full-time role focuses on ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems meet contract requirements and federal standards.

The QC Specialist reports to the QC Manager and works on site, overseeing the Three Phases of Control for MEP features and coordinating with project stakeholders to maintain strict quality

Qualifications

PE license in TX required for mechanical or electrical roles.
Experience on government/DoD/USACE projects is highly preferred.
2 years of experience with mechanical or electrical features or 5 years supervision.

Responsibilities

Act as QC Specialist for MEP activities per the project's QC Plan.
Be on-site daily to perform QC inspections and support the QC Manager.
Execute the Three Phases of Control for all MEP definable features of work.
Review plans, specifications, and submittals for compliance with contract requirements.
Document inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
Participate in QC meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
Ensure all DFOW meet government acceptance criteria.
Assist with training and Critical System Acceptance inspections.
