Job summary

Yates Construction seeks a Quality Manager for a major federal construction program at Fort Hood, TX. The role directs all quality-related functions, ensuring compliance with federal requirements, codes, and internal standards throughout all phases of construction.

You will develop project-specific QCPs, coach teams, manage the three-phase system, and maintain rigorous documentation. Collaboration with federal agencies and subcontractors is essential to drive defect-free execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education or experience may substitute.
• Minimum 3 years of quality control supervision experience on construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial, commercial, or federal construction experience.
• Experience implementing large, complex quality plans—preferably on federal or government projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality operations for a major federal construction project and ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes, and standards.
• Develop, implement, and administer project-specific quality policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Maintain NCR logs, conduct inspections, and ensure timely correction of deficiencies.
• Coordinate with project managers, subs, and federal representatives to develop defect-free processes.
• Chair weekly QC meetings and participate in safety inspections and training.
