Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for on-site work at our Rickwood Field center. You will gather medical information, assist providers, and support patient flow during appointments.

Responsibilities include vital signs, screenings, vaccinations, EMR documentation, and collaboration with care teams. Requirements: certification, 1 year MA experience, CPR/BLS, EMR skills, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• State or national certification or graduation from an accredited medical assistant course.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS Certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Computer skills including Gmail, MS Word and Excel.
• Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and room patients promptly.
• Take vital signs and complete required screenings and medication reviews.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Administer vaccinations and point-of-care tests as permitted.
• Import documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Support care team meetings and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers as needed.
• Conduct routine quality control and infection control checks.
