Job summary

Small Parts, Inc. is seeking a Materials Planning Manager to lead material planning, inventory control, and production scheduling across multiple facilities. You will oversee a team of planners, coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, and Quality, and ensure uninterrupted supply chain performance.

The role requires a strong background in ERP/MRP, inventory optimization, and cross-functional leadership to balance demand with supply and customer delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5–8 years of related experience in supply chain/ops.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead capacity; managing supervisors preferred.
• Experience with Plex ERP or comparable MRP/ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting and data analysis tools.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; write routine reports and business correspondence; present information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Material & Production Planners responsible for procurement, inventory management, and production scheduling.
• Coordinate Buying, Scheduling, Inbound Logistics and Importation to improve efficiency and continuity.
• Establish performance objectives, metrics, and accountability for planning activities.
• Develop and maintain policies and standard work; drive continuous improvement in material flow and inventory performance.
• Monitor supplier performance and lead recovery plans for shortages or disruptions.
• Develop inbound logistics strategies and coordinate domestic and international movements.
• Lead initiatives to reduce aged, excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
• Represent Materials & Planning during customer, certification, and audit activities.
