Job summary

Smallpartsinc is seeking a Materials & Planning Manager to lead material planning, inventory control, and production scheduling across manufacturing locations. You will drive procurement plans, manage inbound logistics, and ensure material availability to support production requirements while balancing inventory investment and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field with supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Plex ERP or similar MRP/ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making in a high-mix manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Planners responsible for material procurement, inventory management, and production scheduling.
• Coordinate inbound logistics, supplier performance, and material availability to meet delivery goals.
• Develop and maintain planning parameters, safety stock, reorder points, and lead times.
• Oversee production planning; ensure timely release of jobs to meet customer demand.
• Drive continuous improvement in material flow, inventory control, and schedule attainment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to align on supply outcomes.
• Escalate and resolve material shortages and supply disruptions to protect delivery commitments.
• Ensure ERP master data accuracy and data integrity across planning functions.
