Reitman Personnel seeks a Materials Manager to lead all planning, material control, and inventory management efforts to align production, procurement, and shipping with delivery, cost, and quality goals. The role interfaces with Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering to drive process improvements and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of materials planning teams.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Operations, Finance, Purchasing and Engineering.
• Ability to balance short-term production demands with long-term planning.
• Experience with SAP/MRP data integrity and ERP controls.
• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the materials team including planners and MRP controllers.
• Oversee material planning, scheduling, and control to ensure timely procurement for production.
• Maintain SAP accuracy for BOMs, routings, and material masters.
• Monitor MRP exception reports and drive corrective actions to eliminate shortages.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering on material readiness for prototypes and builds.
• Manage inventory control activities and reduce excess/obsolete stock.
• Lead KPI reviews and drive continuous improvement across planning and inventory functions.
